For two decades, Eilís Haden-Storrie has produced historical films and educational packages for leading broadcasting organisations, museums and government bodies. Eilís also taught Media and Māori Studies in Aotearoa, New Zealand, where she earned an honours master’s degree in Indigenous Studies.
After recovering fully from an autoimmune condition that left her unable to walk, Eilís - now back climbing mountains and deep-sea swimming - began to research how ancient practices can marry with modern medical thinking and enable us to find ways to heal and live well.
In 2018, Eilís - with the support of government funding - published 'Nourishment - Stories from the Burren'. Nourishment is on it's fourth print run and is available in bookshops.
In response to requests to learn more about this research, Eilís began to lead walks and guide day-retreats within The Burren, County Clare. These experiences focus on what we can now say about healing in this area from the times of our early ancestors.
In 2024, Banner Books published 'These Intangible Things - A journey through nature, healing and the human spirit. This can be purchased through the publisher or in bookshops (https://bannerbooks.ie/shop/ireland/county-clare-ireland/these-intangible-things).
In 2025, due to interest in how to apply the four pillars of health - key elements of 'These Intangible Things' - Eilís produced 'The Untangled Path - A journey into healing' and 'The Untangled Path - A journal. Both new books are available through book distributers worldwide.
As background research for 'These Intangible Things', Eilís trained in nature therapy, natural pain management and did a masters of Epidemiology and Public Health with the University of Gothenburg.
Eilís lives between Bohuslän, Sweden, Spain and County Clare, Ireland with her husband, Donald, and their two cats, Stan and Squeaky.
